Al-Idrisi

On 10th August, Jan De Nul Group signed the contract for the construction of two new medium sized hopper suction dredgers, the 'Al-Idrisi' and the 'Vitus Bering'. The two hoppers will be built by Heun Woo Steel Co. Ltd. In Busan, South Korea.
The 'Al-Idrisi' will be delivered in August 2008.
This hopper suction dredger will have a hopper capacity of 7,500 m³ and a very reduced draught to work in shallower waters.
