Russian dredger Severnaya Dvina launched

On 9 November 2015, the trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) Severnaya Dvina was launched at the shipyard of Song Thu Corporation in Da Nang (Vietnam).
The Song Thu Corporation cooperates with Damen Shipyards (The Netherlands) and the new dredger is of the type Damen TSHD 2000, which has a hopper capacity of 2,000 m3.
The dredging components are delivered by Damen Dredging Equipment (DDE), consisting amongst others of a trailing suction pipe with a diameter of 600 mm and a diesel driven dredge pump.
The dredger is being built for Rosmorport from Russia.
It will be part of a fleet operating in the port of Arkhangelsk in northern Russia.
